Question: How do I volunteer for the Cedar Hill Fire Protection District?

Answer:   First you need to stop by the office during regular business hours to pick up an application.  Return the application after you have filled it out completely along with your signed records check form.  Your application will be reviewed and you will be interviewed.  The Board of Directors will make the final decision if you are selected as an eligible applicant.  You then will be notified if you have or have not been selected to become a member.

Answer:  We are not currently accepting applications for full time employment.  When we are accepting applications the position will be advertised in the local paper as well as on our website.

Answer: We like for you to call the firehouse first.  However we understand that we might not be there to answer your call.  The burning regulations for Missouri are controlled by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.  Click here for the link to their page.  The basic regulations on open burning is that it is allowed between September 16 to April 14 every year.  Fires must not exceed 4 foot by 4 foot in size.  Fires must not be started until 10:00am and must be extinguished by 4:00pm.  They must be attended at all times.  They also may only contain natural vegetation.  Wind speeds should be below 15mph.  Any violation of MoDNR regulations can bring a fine up to $20,000.
